HOW DO I KNOW IF THERAPY IS RIGHT FOR ME?
At its core, therapy is based on the relationship between the therapist and the client. More than the effectiveness of specific approaches, it is the quality of an empathetic human-to-human connection that makes change possible. Everyone faces situations that feel overwhelming or difficult to handle. Because of the connection we build with our inner resources, therapy often provides a functional and supportive space for people at different stages of life.
I'VE NEVER BEEN TO THERAPY BEFORE AND I'M NERVOUS. IS THAT NORMAL?
Yes, this is completely normal. Starting therapy is a new and unfamiliar experience for most people. Feeling hesitant, wondering what the process will be like, or feeling unsure about opening up is entirely human. Therapy offers a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace—and shape the process together with your therapist.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE THERAPY PROCESS, AND WHAT SHOULDN'T I EXPECT?
You can expect to gain a better understanding of yourself, make sense of your relationships and reactions, and increase your inner awareness.
At times, you may experience emotionally challenging moments, which are a natural part of the process—change often begins outside your comfort zone.
However, therapy is not a place that provides ready-made solutions. Rather than giving advice or directing you, the therapist accompanies you in exploring meaning and navigating the process safely. The most important thing you can expect is an opportunity to deepen your relationship with yourself and find a space for inner transformation.
HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST, AND WHEN DOES IT END?
The duration of therapy varies depending on the client's needs and the therapist's approach. It is a collaborative process, and both the client's and therapist's efforts play an important role in determining the timeline. Therapy is completely individualized, so there is no exact answer to when it will end.
